Polish Days: Lisa Goes Back to Nature

Outside my kitchen window are a dozen or so deciduous and evergreen trees, that have stood in a light winter snow for the last couple of months.

Intellectually, I know there's a botanical catalog of color, lying beneath that snow, and that months from now, I'll be looking out onto graceful dogwoods, and wild beds of yellow and orange daylilys.  That's when the earth will be bursting with new and glorious color.

But now?  Now, I'm seeing frosted evergreen and melting snow; and get this:  It's positively beautiful!

For this month's Polish Days - Back to Nature challenge, I took inspiration from evergreens, snowfall, and the promise of what's to come, and began with two coats of Adina Bodana's near-legendary a-England Dragon.

When dry, I grabbed a bottle of Konad white polish (high opacity + thick & creamy = perfect stamping formula), and then went digging through my stash of Bundle Monster stamping plates, until a few botanical-style images turned up (Bundle Monster plates:  BM-204, 212, 225).

Here, in plentiful pix, are my results (click on any image for an enlarged slideshow)...

Now, if you'll excuse me...

I'll go shovel the driveway a bit,  so that my morning escape to work goes off without a hitch.

Spring will be here before we know it...

  6. I wouldn't have thought to stamp white on Dragon, but it makes the polish look so springy. Lovely.
