ABC Challenge: C is for Camels, China & Chocolate

It's time for letter "C" in this week's ABC Challenge!

Don't know about you folks, but it feels like I've been encased in glitter since 'round about late November.  The holidays do that to me.  But more than two weeks after the New Year cork's been popped,  I was looking to dial down the wattage a bit.

L to R:  Nubar Classic Camel, China Glaze Desert Sun, and Nubar's chocolatey-brown Marabout

So, I began The Hunt for all things polish-related, that in any way correlated with the third letter of the alphabet.

Have I mentioned that I Have A Lot of Polish?

Much later (strong emphasis on "much"),  I reached for three un-tried neutral cremes from within the bowels of my stash (more about that later):

The two accent nails were then stamped with a Bundle Monster image (plate# BM-20) that brings to mind a merging between DNA and Whoppers.

There you have it:  Creamy, chocolatey, color-blocked "C" nails!

As an aside, I'm happy to report that my burgeoning stash has now been entered into a sortable database.  Thanks to a head's up from my buddy, Diana, I installed this dandy little iPhone app that lets me scan the bar codes on each bottle, making for tres efficient data input.

Are you rolling your eyes?

A couple of years back, I surely would have rolled mine.  Of course, that was before I acquired a disturbing amount of smile-inducing lacquer.

So, when next Wednesday's challenge rolls around...

I won't be rummaging through eight color-organized shoe boxes filled with a bazillion little bottles.

Instead, I'll  pull out my trusty iPhone; sort by color family, brand or polish name, and scroll down to the letter "D"...

Yowzah, I do love technology  :)

Well, that's it for today, folks! Until next time, please join me in checking out...

  2. Ok, now I absolutely want a chocolate&cream cake! :D
I love the stamping pattern you used, unfortunaly I can't buy BM plates because their designs are too shorts for my ridicously long nails.

    1. I like how you think, Cristina. Pee before polishing and chocolate cream cake. I'm there!

Thank you re: the stamping, and agreed re: the image size. Actually, the plates I'm pining for are the Dashica's. Wow. They are soooo lovely, and LARGE. I find the BM full-size stamps to be too small for a novice like myself. And I've got short nails!

I got the same app too after Diana told us about it :D I'm still in a process of scanning my stash though :P

    1. Dionne, here's an Android inventory app that at first glance looks comparable:

Will send that link to you via Facebook, as well.

    1. Two and a half? You are a very restrained, nailista, Mari! I'm impressed!

Yup. I can practically taste that crappy candy (which I'd have no problem eating if it was in the vicinity, mind you).

    1. Gini, I'm a fan of neutrals, but never more so than when I go overboard (not sure if that's technically possible) with glitter and bling. And I've been veering in that direction alot, lately.

      Thanks, honey!

    1. But your stamping is extraordinary. To get these two little images, I had so many do-overs that I very nearly gave up. :(

I'm serious...I'd love for you to do a tutorial on the process. It's one thing to KNOW what to do. It's another to see it in black and white (and every other color of the rainbow).

      Thanks so much, darlin'!!!!
