In the aftermath of the 31 Day Challenge, I found myself chopping off as much nail as possible. I wasn't maintaining a healthy regimen, and my nails were brittle and sad. So, so sad. I've been trying to move forward, and blue felt right - especially with the introduction of the blue polishes in the new China Glaze Cirque Du Soleil collection.
Three coats of Hanging In The Balance were necessary for a perfect base. Usually I prefer to have a maximum of two coats of any polish, but this color is lovely enough to warrant the extra work. Once it dried, I used tape to create the crisp edges for the chevron pattern. Water You Waiting For is such a gorgeous glitter - mostly blue with hints of purple and green thrown in.
I fell in love, and I highly recommend these polishes. Keep your eyes peeled, you might be seeing
Water Your Waiting For again on Lozlosa some time later this week.
Hint!

Pretty!! That blue reminds me if Man Hunt!! Blue is a popular color lately, it's been popping up everywhere, I'm beginning to get a new appreciation for it!!!
ReplyDeleteI immediately thought of Man Hunt when I saw this color, but I believe that this is a little brighter. I ended up passing on Man Hunt, but I'm eagerly waiting for the inevitable comparison swatches. :D Personally, I am loving all the blue polishes that are being produced lately!
DeleteOoooooh! This is gorgeous! Blue is my very fave color of polish, and I've been dying for these. Unfortunately New Mexico is the last place on earth to get anything good and my local Sally's looked at me like I was trying to sell them a trunk full of crack when I asked about this collection. Seriously. It was a sad day here. *sniffles*
ReplyDeleteThankfully I can live vicarously through you! yay!
Pfffffffffft. You might have had better luck with the crack. I got the same look at my local Sally's (all 3 of them. I have no life). They had never heard of the collection. I lucked out at a local beauty supply store. Let me know if desperation kicks in - what with NM being last in line, I could see about shipping some to you. Nail polish, that is. Not crack. Crack is whack. (Sorry, couldn't resist)
DeleteSuch a pretty mani Liz! That blue is just stunning.. MUST HAVE IT NOWWWWWW
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lariesa! My absolute favorite color is blue, so I was excited to get my greedy little hands on these shades!
DeleteThis looks gorgeous!! I love that blue but I read it's a stainer! Did you have any issues with it?
ReplyDeleteI like the nubs too, shorties can be sexy :D
Hey Kat! I had a little bit of staining around my cuticles, but it was minor. I was expecting much worse, actually.
