31 DAY CHALLENGE, DAY 22: Inspired by a SONG!

Alright, I'm about to drop some knowledge. I LOVE music. I love all different genres, artists, time periods, etc. Music is great, and if you were to ask me to pick my favorite anything to do with music, I would be hard up to choose. The one aspect of my life that is different is karaoke. I have one go-to karaoke song, and I was inspired to create musical manicure magic for today's challenge.

L-R: Orly - Lucky Duck, Orly - Dayglow, Cult Nails - Nevermore, OPI - I Eat Mainely Lobster, Orly - Star Spangled

L-R: Color Club - Harp On It, Cult Nails - Time Traveler, China Glaze - Blue Iguana, Color Club - Ho-Ho-Holly,
Sharpie Oil-Based Paint Marker (Extra Fine)

As you can see, I used quite a few colors... but as you'll see in a second, it was all necessary. Have you had enough of the suspense? Good, because it's time for the BIG REVEAL. My go-to karaoke song for all time is...

Drum roll please!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Joy to the World by Three Dog Night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah... the world was supposed to be wearing a crown, but I have decided that it's really a party hat...
Because the world is having a kick-ass, joyful party.
Yeah...
This ended up being a fairly ridiculous, literal representation of the song's lyrics... but I kind of needed it to be. It's inspired by a joyous, ridiculous song. I wanted to capture some of my favorite parts of the song - of course, there had to be Jeremiah the Bullfrog (we were totally BFF's), as well as his wine... even after a couple of glasses I still could never understand him. I had to have a fish swimming in the deep blue sea, and it wouldn't be a proper Joy to the World-inspired manicure unless there was a happy world!

"Jeremiah was a bull frog
Was a good friend of mine
I never understood a single word he said
But I helped him a-drink his wine
And he always had some mighty fine wine
Singing
Joy to the world
All the boys and girls, now
Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea
Joy to you and me"

Now that the song is completely stuck in my head, I'm going to check out the other challengers to see what inspired them for today's post. Thank you for stopping by!!

    3. I was able to find them at my local mall. There are a couple of beauty supply stores that I check out, and one of them had the collection for under $4 a bottle. I hope you find the polishes soon!
